24 Inch TN Panel Monitors

The 24 inch TN monitors here are BenQ ZOWIE esports screens, all Full HD and all built for refresh rate rather than colour work. The XL2566X+ runs at 400Hz, the XL2586X at 540Hz with DyAc 2 motion-blur reduction, and the XL2586X+ is a 24.1 inch panel at 600Hz. BenQ covers the XL2586X with a 3 year warranty.

Choosing between them comes down to how many frames your PC actually delivers. A refresh rate only helps when the graphics card and processor push matching frame rates, which is realistic in light competitive titles such as CS2 or Valorant at low settings, not in heavy single-player games. The XL2566X+ suits players whose systems sit around the 300 to 400 fps mark, while the XL2586X and XL2586X+ are for high-end rigs chasing every frame. Connect them over DisplayPort to reach the full refresh rate. TN panels trade viewing angles and colour accuracy for speed, so for photo editing, design or general office use an IPS monitor is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

Is a TN panel good for gaming? Yes, for competitive shooters where motion clarity and response matter more than colour, which is why these ZOWIE models use TN at 400Hz to 600Hz.

What is the difference between the XL2586X and XL2586X+? The XL2586X is a 24 inch 540Hz panel, while the XL2586X+ is 24.1 inch and raises the refresh rate to 600Hz; both are Full HD.

Do I need a powerful PC for a 540Hz or 600Hz monitor? To benefit fully, yes; the system must render frame rates close to the refresh rate in the games you play.
