1200 Watt Power Supply Units
Deepcool PN1200M 1200W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
Corsair RM1200x Shift 1200W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply - White
Two 1200 watt ATX power supplies are on this page: the Corsair RM1200x Shift in white and the DeepCool PN1200M. Both are 80 Plus Gold certified and fully modular, and both carry a 10 year manufacturer warranty.
A 1200 watt unit suits high-end graphics cards, workstation builds and systems planned for later upgrades. The choice here is mostly about build and looks. The Corsair's Shift design puts the modular connectors on the side of the unit, which needs a case with space beside the PSU, and its white finish suits white builds. The DeepCool uses a 135mm FDB fan. Each brand also has its own 1200 watt page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a 1200 watt power supply? Only for very power-hungry builds, such as a top-end graphics card with a high-core-count processor, or when you want plenty of headroom.
Will these fit a standard case? Both are ATX units. Check that your case has room for the Corsair's side-mounted connectors.
