The 32 inch monitors here come from BenQ and MSI. For gaming there are the MSI MAG 32C6X, a Full HD VA panel at 250 Hz, and the curved 2K 170 Hz G32CQ5P. Most of the range is 4K IPS: the BenQ PD3225U and SW321C for design and photo work, the RD320U for programming and the MA320UP for MacBook users. The BenQ EX321UZ and MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED bring 4K OLED at 240 Hz. BenQ and MSI cover their monitors with a 3 year warranty.
At this size Full HD looks soft at desk distance, 2K is sharper, and 4K keeps code, spreadsheets and photos crisp. For high frame rates on a mid-range graphics card, the Full HD and 2K VA models are the practical choice, while 4K at 160 to 240 Hz needs a powerful card. For a laptop on one cable, the MA320UP charges at 90 W over USB-C and the PD3225U adds Thunderbolt 3. The IPS, VA and OLED models, and the BenQ and MSI ranges, each have their own page.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 31.5 inch monitor the same as 32 inch? Yes. 32 inch class panels measure about 31.5 inches diagonally, so the GW3290QT and EX321UZ are the same size as the rest.
OLED or IPS for a 32 inch monitor? OLED gives true blacks and very fast response for gaming and films. IPS suits long hours of static desktop work, where OLED can risk burn-in.
