DDR4 RAM

The DDR4 RAM here comes from G.Skill's Aegis and Ripjaws V ranges. Both are single desktop modules in 8 GB and 16 GB: the Aegis F4-3200C16S-8GIS and F4-3200C16S-16GIS, and the Ripjaws V F4-3200C16S-8GVKB and F4-3200C16S-16GVK. Every one runs at 3200 MHz with CL16-18-18-38 timings at 1.35 V, and none has RGB lighting. G.Skill covers them with a 10 year warranty.

Speed and timings are the same across this page, so the choice comes down to capacity and looks. Fit DDR4 only to a board with DDR4 slots, such as AMD AM4 Ryzen boards or Intel boards built for DDR4. It will not go into a DDR5 slot. For dual channel, buy two identical modules: two 8 GB sticks give 16 GB for everyday use and esports, while two 16 GB sticks give 32 GB for heavier games, editing and multitasking. The rated 3200 MHz needs the Intel XMP profile switched on in the BIOS. AMD boards apply the same profile under names such as DOCP.
