NVIDIA GeForce 700 Series Graphics Cards

The GeForce 700 Series cards here are entry-level GT 710 and GT 730 boards, built to add display outputs to office PCs, slim desktops and older systems. They include the fanless, low profile MSI GT 710 2GD3H LP, Gigabyte GV-N710D3-2GL and INNO3D N710-1SDV-E3BX with 2GB DDR3. The ASUS GT710-SL-2GD5-BRK-EVO uses faster GDDR5. On the GT 730 side there is the four-HDMI ASUS GT730-4H-SL-2GD5, the 4GB INNO3D N73P-BSDV-M3BX and the single-fan MSI N730-4GD3V2. Every card carries a 3 year warranty from its maker.

Choose by outputs and fit rather than speed. The GT 710 draws about 19 W and suits Full HD desktop work, video playback and replacing failed onboard graphics. The GT 730 has more graphics power for light use. A GDDR5 card is quicker than a DDR3 card with the same chip, even when the DDR3 card has more memory. For slim cases, pick a low profile model. The ASUS EVO cards have a 39 mm thick heatsink, so check the space beside the slot. The GT 710 and GT 730 models also have pages of their own.

Frequently asked questions

Can a GT 710 or GT 730 run games? Only older or very light titles at low settings. These cards are meant for display output and everyday work, not modern gaming.

Which card drives the most monitors? The ASUS GT730-4H-SL-2GD5 has four HDMI ports for up to four displays. The GT 710 models support up to three across HDMI, DVI and VGA.

What power supply do they need? The makers recommend a 300 W supply, so most existing office PCs can take one without a PSU upgrade.
