The memory here is sold as single sticks rather than kits. On the DDR4 side are the G.Skill Aegis and Ripjaws V at 3200MHz CL16 in 8GB and 16GB. The DDR5 modules include the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 (5200 to 6000MHz, 16GB to 48GB), the Aegis 5, Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 RGB, the Flare X5 and the Trident Z5 Neo RGB at 6000MHz CL30, alongside the Corsair Vengeance and Vengeance RGB in 8GB and 16GB. G.Skill and Corsair cover these modules with a 10 year warranty.
Start with your motherboard. DDR4 and DDR5 use different slots and cannot be swapped, so the board decides the memory type. All but the four DDR4 sticks are on the DDR5 RAM page. Next, check the overclocking profile. Intel XMP suits Intel boards and AMD EXPO suits AMD boards. The Flare X5 and Trident Z5 Neo RGB carry EXPO only and are aimed at AM5 Ryzen builds. The 6000 MHz, 5600 MHz and 32 GB modules each have a page of their own, and so does the G.Skill range.
Frequently asked questions
Does one stick run in single channel mode? Yes. A single module uses one memory channel. Fitting two identical sticks lets the board run in dual channel, which helps games and integrated graphics.
Can I add one of these to the RAM already in my PC? It works if the type matches. Matching capacity, speed and timings, ideally the same model, gives the most stable result.
Why are there 24GB and 48GB sticks? DDR5 allows these non-binary capacities. The Ripjaws S5 24GB and 48GB give more memory per slot than 16GB or 32GB sticks.
