The single desktop memory sticks here start with 8GB and 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 modules such as the G.Skill Aegis F4-3200C16S-8GIS and Ripjaws V F4-3200C16S-8GVKB. The rest are DDR5 sticks of 8GB to 48GB: the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 at 5200 to 6000MHz, the Corsair Vengeance 8GB and 16GB at 5200 and 5600MHz, the G.Skill Flare X5 at 6000MHz and the RGB Trident Z5 Neo RGB 16GB 6000MHz CL30. G.Skill and Corsair both cover these modules with a 10 year warranty.
Start with the motherboard. DDR4 and DDR5 sticks are not interchangeable, and AMD AM5 boards take only DDR5. Some Intel boards come in DDR4 or DDR5 versions, so check which one you have. A single stick runs in single channel. Two identical sticks, such as two 16GB Ripjaws S5, run in dual channel for noticeably more memory bandwidth. For AMD Ryzen builds on AM5, the 6000MHz AMD EXPO modules are the usual choice. Intel builds use the XMP profile, which every module here carries except the EXPO-only Flare X5 and Trident Z5 Neo RGB. The G.Skill sticks alone are on their own page.
Frequently asked questions
Can two single sticks run in dual channel? Yes. Fit two identical modules in the slots the motherboard manual marks for dual channel, usually A2 and B2.
Can I add a stick to the RAM already in my PC? Match the memory type, capacity and speed, ideally with the same model. Mixed sticks fall back to the slower module's speed.
Which stick suits an AMD AM5 build? A 6000MHz EXPO module, such as the Flare X5, the Ripjaws S5 6000MHz or the CL30 Trident Z5 Neo RGB.
