1500 Watt Power Supply Units
Corsair HX1500i 1500W 80 Plus Platinum Power Supply
The Corsair HX1500i is the one 1500 watt power supply on this page. It is a fully modular ATX unit with an 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rating and is designed for low-noise operation. Corsair covers it with a 10 year warranty.
A 1500 watt unit suits builds that draw heavily for long periods. Examples include multi-GPU rendering or AI workstations and high-end processors paired with power-hungry graphics cards. It also suits builds planned with wide headroom for future upgrades. A single mid-range graphics card needs far less, and other wattages are on the Power Supply Unit page. Check that the cabinet takes an ATX power supply and has space for routing the cables.
Frequently asked questions
Does a gaming PC need 1500 watts? Most single-GPU gaming PCs do not. 1500 watts is meant for multi-GPU or workstation-class systems, or for builds that want a large margin.
What does fully modular mean on the HX1500i? Every cable detaches, so only the cables the build needs are fitted. This keeps the cabinet tidier and helps airflow.
