MSI GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics Cards

The MSI GeForce RTX 40 Series cards here all come from the Ventus 2X line: the GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC, the GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X WHITE 8G OC, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC and the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black 16G OC. Each is a 199 mm dual-fan card with TORX Fan 4.0 cooling, one 8-pin connector, PCIe 4.0, DLSS 3 and ray tracing. MSI covers them with a 3 year warranty.

The choice comes down to GPU and memory. The RTX 4060 cards draw about 120 W and suit 1080p gaming. The RTX 4060 Ti 8G, at about 160 W, handles high-refresh 1080p and lighter 1440p. The 16G version keeps the same chip but doubles the VRAM, which helps with high-resolution textures, video editing and AI tools. The black and white RTX 4060 cards share specifications, so pick by build colour. MSI recommends a 550 W power supply for all four, and the RTX 4060 models also have their own page.

Frequently asked questions

Will these cards fit a compact case? At 199 mm long and about 42 mm thick, they suit most mATX and many mini-ITX cases.

Should I buy the RTX 4060 Ti 8G or 16G? Both use the same GPU. The 16G suits 1440p with high textures and creative work, while the 8G is enough for most 1080p gaming.
