MSI RTX 5080 Graphics Cards

MSI builds the GeForce RTX 5080 with several coolers, and all of them share the same chip and 16 GB of VRAM. The cards here run from the 288 mm GeForce RTX 5080 16G INSPIRE 3X OC and the 303 mm VENTUS 3X OC and SHADOW 3X OC to the 338 mm GAMING TRIO OC, the 357 mm VANGUARD SOC and the 359 mm, 76 mm thick SUPRIM SOC. The radiator-cooled SUPRIM LIQUID SOC is also here. Each card is rated at 360 W, uses one 16-pin power connector and runs on PCIe 5.0. MSI covers them with a 3 year warranty.

Performance differs only slightly between these models, so choose by size, cooling and looks. Measure your cabinet first. The Inspire 3X OC and Suprim Liquid SOC suit smaller cases, while the Suprim SOC and Vanguard SOC need long, wide clearance. The Ventus 3X OC WHITE and Gaming Trio OC WHITE fit white builds. The liquid model needs a free radiator mount. Plan for an 850 W power supply.

Frequently asked questions

Will an MSI RTX 5080 work in a PCIe 4.0 slot? Yes. These PCIe 5.0 cards run in PCIe 4.0 x16 slots with only a small difference in performance.

What power supply does an RTX 5080 need? MSI recommends 850 W for every card here. A unit with a native 16-pin cable is the cleanest option.

How does the Ventus 3X OC differ from the Suprim SOC? Both have the same chip and 16 GB of VRAM. The Suprim SOC has a far larger cooler for lower temperatures and noise, but it is 359 mm long, against 303 mm for the Ventus 3X OC.
