AMD Ryzen 5 7000 Series Processors

Two AM5 Zen 4 chips make up the Ryzen 5 7000 range here: the Ryzen 5 7600X3D and the Ryzen 5 7600X. Both are 6 core, 12 thread processors with integrated graphics, and neither includes a cooler. AMD covers them with a 3 year warranty.

The 7600X runs at higher clocks, up to 5.3 GHz, and suits mixed work such as coding, editing and general use. The 7600X3D boosts to 4.7 GHz but adds 3D V-Cache, which helps in many games. It is also rated at 65 W against the 7600X's 105 W. Both need an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better for gaming, the 7600X3D or the 7600X? The 7600X3D's extra cache usually gives higher frame rates in games. The 7600X is the more all-round chip.

Do these processors come with a cooler? No. Neither includes one, so a separate cooler that fits the AM5 socket is needed.
