16 GB DDR5 5600 MHz RAM
The 16 GB 5600 MHz modules here are all single DDR5 sticks without RGB. They are the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 (CL40-40-40-89, Intel XMP), the G.Skill Aegis 5 F5-5600J3636C16GX1-IS (CL36-36-36-89, Intel XMP and AMD EXPO) and the Corsair Vengeance CMK16GX5M1B5600C40 (CL40 at 1.25V, Intel XMP). G.Skill and Corsair each cover their modules with a 10 year warranty.
Choose by platform first. DDR5 only fits DDR5 motherboards, such as Intel boards built for DDR5 or AMD AM5 boards. On an AM5 build, the Aegis 5 is the simplest pick because its AMD EXPO profile sets 5600 MHz in one step. The XMP-only kits can still be set manually on AMD. On Intel, all three load their rated speed through XMP. The Aegis 5 also has tighter CL36 timings, which give slightly lower latency than the CL40 Ripjaws S5 and Vengeance. These are single 16 GB sticks, so buy two to run dual channel and get 32 GB. The G.Skill modules also have their own page.
Frequently asked questions
Will 16 GB DDR5 5600 MHz RAM work on a DDR4 motherboard? No. DDR5 has a different notch and pinout, so it only fits motherboards with DDR5 slots.
Is one 16 GB stick enough? It works, but it runs in single channel. Two matching sticks run in dual channel, which gives better performance in games and multitasking.
CL36 or CL40, does it matter? At the same 5600 MHz, CL36 has slightly lower latency. The difference is small in everyday use.
