MSI 80 Plus Gold PSUs

The MSI 80 Plus Gold power supplies here come from the MAG A series and run from 750W to 1250W, all in the standard ATX form factor and all PCIe 5.1 ready. The fully modular GL line covers the MAG A750GL PCIE5, MAG A850GL PCIE5 (also in a WHITE version with flat cables), MAG A1000GL PCIE5 and MAG A1250GL PCIE5, with the 850W, 1000W and 1250W units also ATX 3.1 ready. The non-modular GN line has the MAG A750GN-PCIE5 and MAG A850GN. MSI covers them with a 7 year warranty, rising to 10 years on the A1250GL.

Choose wattage by graphics card first. A 750W unit suits a mainstream processor with a mid-range card, 850W leaves room for an upper-mid or high-end card, and the 1000W and 1250W models are for flagship cards and high-core-count processors, or for builds that need headroom for a later upgrade. Next, decide between modular and non-modular. The GL models let you fit only the cables you use, which keeps small or glass-panel cases tidy; the GN models have fixed cables and suit builds where cable routing matters less. The A850GL PCIE5 WHITE is the one to match a white build.
