Overview

The Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD B550 chipset with an AM4 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 5000 Series, Ryzen 5000 G-Series, Ryzen 4000 G-Series, Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 3000 G-Series processors.

Power comes from a 12+2 phase Digital Twin design with 50A DrMOS, a digital PWM controller, all-solid capacitors and solid pin 24-pin and 8-pin power connectors, on a 2X Copper PCB. Memory support is dual channel ECC/non-ECC unbuffered DDR4 across 4 DIMM slots, up to 128 GB, with DDR4 speeds up to 4733 MHz (O.C.) and XMP support.

Cooling uses enlarged surface heatsinks with 5 W/mK thermal conductivity pads, M.2 Thermal Guards and Smart Fan 6 with hybrid fan headers and FAN STOP. Storage includes two M.2 connectors (one PCIe 4.0 x4 from the CPU, one PCIe 3.0 x4 from the chipset) and four SATA 6Gb/s ports, with an Ultra Durable PCIe 4.0 x16 slot with PCIe Armor.

Networking comes from Realtek 2.5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 and a directional ultra-high gain antenna. DIY-friendly features include WIFI EZ-Plug, Q-Flash Plus, a pre-installed I/O shield, a front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C header, RGB FUSION 2.0 and ALC1200 audio with WIMA and Nichicon capacitors.
