Overview

The Gigabyte X670 GAMING X AX V2 is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD X670 chipset with the AM5 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 9000 Series processors.

Power comes from a Twin 14+2+2 phases digital VRM design with 60A DrMOS, on a 6-layer 2X copper PCB. The board has four DDR5 DIMM sockets in a dual channel layout, supporting AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory modules with overclocking up to DDR5 8000 and beyond.

Cooling includes fully covered MOSFET heatsinks, an 8mm Mega-Heatpipe, a 7 W/mK thermal pad and an M.2 Thermal Guard. For storage there is one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 connector and three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 connectors, plus four SATA 6Gb/s connectors.

Networking is covered by 2.5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax with Bluetooth 5.3. Extended connectivity includes HDMI and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C. Easy-to-use features include PCIe EZ-Latch, M.2 EZ-Latch, Q-Flash Plus, Smart Fan 6 and RGB Fusion.
