Overview

The Gigabyte X870E AORUS MASTER X3D is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset with the AM5 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 uses AI to tune Ryzen X3D processors, and DDR5 overclocking is supported up to 9000 MT/s.

Power comes from a Digital Twin 18+2+2 phase VRM design with an 8-layer PCB. It has 18 VCORE phases (SPS 110A), 2 SOC phases (SPS 110A) and 2 MISC phases (Dr.MOS 60A). Memory support is 4 DIMMs of dual channel DDR5 with AMD EXPO support.

Cooling includes VRM Thermal Armor Advanced with a direct-touch heatpipe and 12 W/mK thermal pad, M.2 Thermal Guard XL, M.2 Thermal Guard Ext., the M.2 EZ-Flex design and a PCB Thermal Plate. Storage has 5 M.2 slots, including PCIe 5.0 x4, plus 2 SATA 6Gb/s connectors.

Networking includes 10GbE and 5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 with a 320 MHz channel and an ultra-high gain antenna. Other connectivity includes dual USB4 Type-C with DP-Alt, HDMI and Front QC-USB 65W. For easy building it has PCIe EZ-Latch Plus Duo, M.2 EZ-Latch Click and Plus, M.2 EZ-Match, WIFI EZ-Plug and a Rear EZ-Button with Q-Flash Plus.
